Winter Snowscape

Posted: October 28, 2013 in TANKA POEMS

Here is my first ever attempt at a Tanka poem:

Fallen snow settles,
Winter snowscape sets a scene.
Painting the world white,
Trees glistening virgin fresh.
A beautiful morning view

a Tanka D S is like a Haiku but 2 lines longer. A Haiku (If you remember it 5-7-5 syllables (so first line has 5 words or syllables, 2nd has 7 and third has 5), and a Tanka is 5-7-5-7-7 syllables (similar principal but longer). Hope that helps 🙂
